About Us

Since 1928 children have had the benefit of the beautiful surroundings of our camp site . Originally used by the Church Lads Brigade, groups have camped, played, and enjoyed all that the area has to offer. To view a film of the Church Lads Brigade in 1948 at the site, click here.
The 7 acre site is owned by the National Trust and is on the outskirts of the popular seaside resort of Exmouth. To the southern boundary, the South West Coast Path runs adjacent to the camp field. Orcombe Point, the site of the camp, is the Gateway to England's only natural World Heritage Site that stretches along the South West Coastal Path as far as Harry Rocks in Dorset. UNESCO has named the 95 miles of coastline as "an outstanding example, representing a major stage of earth's history and the record of life" and has been hailed as "The Jurrassic Coast"

The camp is primarily a service for Bristol schools but has become a popular base for many other youth organisations in recent years, particularly during the summer holidays.
