Take a look at the 360
view of the cliffs Bristol Schools Camp is situated at the mouth of the Exe estuary with beautiful views of the South Devon coastline. The camp is set in a rural seven-acre site, close to the town of Exmouth. The camp acts as a base from where schools can carry out a residential program of studies and outdoor activities in a safe, controlled environment. Orcombe Point, the site of the camp, is the Gateway to England's new and only World Heritage Site that stretches along the South West Coastal Path as far as Harry Rocks in Dorset. UNESCO has named the 95 miles of coastline as "an outstanding example, representing a major stage of earth's history and the record of life" and has been hailed as "The Jurrassic Coast" Accommodation at the camp is in 5 to 6 person tents equipped with wooden floors and camp beds. The camp also has three large marquees for activity sessions and classroom work. Meals are served in a purpose built dining room and prepared by our own catering staff which leaves teachers and leaders free to supervise their groups. The camp also has separate shower and toilet blocks for males, females and group leaders and disabled washing facilities. We also have plenty of sports equipment for football, volleyball, badminton, tennis, table tennis, rounders and cricket. Planning your trip couldn't be easier, once your camp dates have been allocated just decide on the activities you want to do, calculate the price and then you can book all your activities direct with the activity provider. This modular approach means that groups can tailor their visit to suit their needs. The camp site is also ideal for use by organised groups such as Scouts, Guides, and youth clubs and also provides an excellent base for Duke of Edinburgh Award activities. A self-catering option is also available and group leaders should contact the camp to discuss possibilities and prices. The camp and its facilities provide an ideal centre in which schools can enhance the educational and social growth of their pupils through the medium of the outdoor environment. Please note that planning restrictions are currently in place as to who can use the camp site. The camp is for the benefit of school children (up to the age of 18), from the South West of England, together with other formally constituted organisations, priority being given to Bristol schools.
